Acting as a temporary installation to celebrate the remodel of the flagship NYC store, Vacheron Constantin’s Summer 2021 “Gold City” was met with praise when featured in Town and Country magazine. The Gold City was fabricated from delicately CNC milled, mitered and folded metal-laminated PVC material that once assembled, intertwined with golden race car tracks that ran through the buildings that lead up the walls. With over four thousand windows cut out of over thirty sheets of metal-laminated material, CNC routed building bases, track reinforcement, fake tracks, and bend templates for the curved track radii, this project was quite the statement once assembled.
